History as our inspiration

Probably you did not hear the name of an ancient city, Loadicea, but you have probably heard of Hierapolis (Pamukkale) located in Denizli together with third ancient city of Tripolis.

Excavations here have revealed artifacts dating from 3500 BC (Late Chalcolithic) to 3000 BC (Early Bronze Age). Laodicea was founded on the site of the older town by Antiochus II Theos, king of the Seleucid Empire, in 261-253 BC in honour of his wife Laodice.

Set in an earthquake zone, the city was ruined and restored many times, but by the early 1200s it was only farmer’s fields.

When I was walking at the site years ago, I have seen a broken stone left aside waiting for the other piece(s) and exact location. I have asked the Head of Excavation and he said it is the symbol of Dinosus with vine leaves and the leopard and decided to use this visual as a logo.

Our logo was inspired from the ruins of Laodicea with imagination and artwork. In fact, the missing part has been found during ongoing excavations still waiting to be located. Who knows, perhaps we can update our logo soon.
